Invite PEERS to host a
Parent Night at your school
Many parents want to be more involved but don't know where to start. Check out our sample agenda below as well as our video. Classes offered can be adapted to fit the needs of any school. There is no cost to invite PEERS to help out the parents at your school. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 801-864-1410.
Sample Agenda for Classes at Parent Night:
Math: This class will cover how to access Math materials from home as well as give you homework helps for math.
Literacy: We will explain how to access the literacy program from home that your school uses and show you great features for your child.
Building Parent/Child Relationships: Learn about some simple tips to help build a more positive relationship with your child.
Get your Preschooler ready for Kindergarten: Do you have a child who will be in kindergarten next year or the year after? This class will help you to see if your child is learning what they need to now so that he/she will be ready for school.
Access Student Grades from Home: Have you heard of the Portal but have not known how to access it or why it is so important? This is a great tool for you to monitor your child’s success on a weekly basis.
PTA/School Community Council: This is a great opportunity to learn more about how to be involved in PTA and the important decisions that are made in the School Community Council.
Tech Safety: There are new ways that children are accessing harmful apps. Come learn how to keep your child safe when using technology at home.
